Many of our projects included designing a wellbore. This was done by using the known resistivity ratio and pressure gradient of the reservoir. With these two knowns we could make some assumption and find the shale conductivity and resistivity. The pore pressure gradient was then found. A safety factor of 0.5 was added just be sure the casing could withstand the pressures exerted by the reservoir. The fracture gradient and safety factor were then assessed. The graph from the pore pressure gradient and the fracture gradient with respect to depth was used to find the depths the casing should be set at. The casing type was chosen by the pressures needed to withstand in the reservoir.

Completion AnalysisIn this project we reviewed a case study where the wellbore collapsed during the pressure testing.

Torque ProducedThis project was designed to calculate the torque applied to the gearbox during production.
|
Well Log AnalysisThis project we built a model for a well log and then analyzed the different reservoir and fluid properties to estimate the production zones.
